JOB TITLE: Release Clerk
LOCATION: Dallas Office
REPORTS TO: Post Judgment Manager
Overview (Primary Purpose)
Seeking a highly-organized individual with excellent computer and typing skills to work in a fast-paced, high volume legal environment supporting a team of attorneys and paralegals. They will review and produce legal documents, review for accuracy and update the case-tracking system with the correct status. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work independently on a variety of projects as assigned.
Describe the essential functions of the job :
Produce checklist and release of judgment to route to Attorney/Client for approval and execution; must coordinate and correspond with requestors
Will perform clerical duties in support of attorneys and paralegals, including copying and mail
Will produce, review, sort and code a variety of legal documents and input data into case-tracking system daily with speed and accuracy
Possess good communication, writing and grammar skills
Will be responsible for running reports and identifying workload issues weekly
The ability to keep pace with processing deadlines is critical to this position
May prepare legal documents and/or correspondence
Performs collection related activity through correspondence and telecommunication, as needed
Perform any and all other assigned duties
Minimum Job Requirements:
Should be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) for editing and have excellent proof-reading skills
Must be well-organized and detail-oriented, and able to work in a high-volume, team-oriented work environment
Experience with e-filing and/or electronic data management of legal files is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
