**Certified Medication Technician (CMT) FULL OR PART TIME. Times vary
8 and 12 hour shifts
At Bertrand Nursing & Rehab Center, we specialize in different care needs on individuals, whether it be short-term/rehab stay, long-term care, or palliative care. CMT duties do not include delegation of tasks, taff assignments, supervision of CNA staff, drawing labs, or communication with physician.
- Provide care to patients under the direction of physician or registered nurse, functioning within scope of license.
- Follow proper chain of command and organizational structure
- Reports directly to RN Supervisor on duty unless he/she is RN supervisor then report to ADON, or D.O.N
- Excellent time-management skills a must; nurse responsible for identifying when having time-management difficulties and ask for assistance with improving skill set when needed
- Attending ALL meetings, in-services, and continuing education events. Nurse has own responsibility to maintain current knowledge of practice
- Be familiar with Nurse Practice Act and individual scope of practice
- Understand scope of practice to those you delegate to
- Works closely and collaborates with Therapy Services as needed, to be able to accurately document and communicate progress / decline, change of condition, resident needs and health status with D.O.N. and physician
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work with multiple residents is required.
- Be proficient with documentation
- Be able to receive feedback and coaching with tact
- Communicate appropriate information to physician in a timely manner
- Perform basic nurse functions
- Contribute to the assessment of patients and assures the well-being of residents
- Administer medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
- Utilize EHR
- Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services
- Create shift assignments / assign tasks to appropriate team member
- Provide Supervision of CNA staff to ensure assignment completion
- Weekend RN coverage/supervisor for the weekends scheduled will likely be an assigned responsibility.
- At this time, our nurses work 2 weekends, off one then various days through the week.

Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
