SUMMARY: Responsible for producing quality parts for customer jobs, according to blueprints and/or supervisor instruction
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs production activities utilizing assigned machine, monitoring individual production levels in relation to anticipated schedule hours and material requirements and identifying problems or bottlenecks.

Complies with established quality standards/requirements and conducts periodic checks of parts to identify nonconformance and initiate associated corrective actions

Successfully completes requirements for welding test or certifications as required. Maintains high degree of accuracy in welds and performs required repairs to welded products

Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane proficiently as needed

Ability to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

Complies with established safety practices and procedures, attends periodic meetings

Identifies and recommends improvements in work methods and procedures

Maintains an orderly work area and observes good housekeeping standards as established within the department

Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
0-3 years’ experience in MIG Welding

Must be able to Mig and Flux core on stainless and C.S.
-
Ability to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job

Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings and tape measure
-
Ability to perform mathematical calculations as required for layout and accurate parts fabrication

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency in the performance of basic metal fabrication operations (e.g., sheering, computer punch press, etc.)

Interpersonal skills as required in communicating with other members of the organization
TRAVEL: This position does not require business travel
