Job purpose
Radiologic Technologist performs quality imaging to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure operation of X-Ray/OR equipment, complete maintenance requirements, troubleshoot malfunctions and assist in scheduling repairs.
- Operate C-arm in the OR setting under the guidance of the physician for a variety of spinal intervention procedures.
- Use safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Set up X-Ray/OR room ensuring that all necessary equipment is ready.
- Complete necessary screening of all patients prior to beginning radiologic exam.
- Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the exam or procedure.
- Prepare patients for imaging by positioning patient and adjusting immobilization devices.
- Position imaging equipment and adjust technical factors according to specifications of examination.
- Maintain production and quality of images by following established standards and procedures, reviewing completed images, and making necessary adjustments.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and reactions, reporting abnormal symptoms to physician.
- Obtain thorough and accurate patient medical histories, complete appropriate documentation.
- Contribute to team effort, coordinate work with clerical personnel and other technologists.
- Collaborate with other medical team members, such as physicians and nurses, to carry out patient care.
- Demonstrate new equipment, procedures/techniques to staff, and provide technical assistance.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- Valid and current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Limited Scope Radiologic Technologists must be certified through the state.
- 1-2 years of experience is preferred.
- Colorado Fluoroscopy Certificate.
- Current BLS Certification.

- Extensive knowledge of 3-dimensional anatomy.

- Knowledge of computers/technology and ability to learn and use new programs.
- Superior customer service.
- Must be able to lift or move 50 pounds without assistance.
- Occasionally required to sit, stand, or walk for extended lengths of time.
Environmental Conditions
The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
