Savannah Oyster Co. in Moorseville, the hottest brand new restaurant in Lake Norman is looking for the 2 shuckers. Must be a hard worker, willing to learn, and wants to be a part of a bad ass crew.
An oyster shucker is responsible for opening oysters and preparing them for consumption. This position requires a good understanding of oyster varieties, freshness, and proper shucking techniques. Oyster shuckers must also be able to work quickly and efficiently to meet customer demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Shuck oysters quickly and efficiently using proper techniques
- Ensure that oysters are fresh and of good quality
- Prepare oysters for consumption by rinsing them and arranging them on ice or plates
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience shucking oysters is preferred, but not required
- Good knife skills and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Strong food safety knowledge
Compensation
$12 per hour plus tips
Additional Information
This position may require some standing, lifting, and bending. Oyster shuckers must also be able to work in a cold and wet environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
