We are seeking an experienced omakase sushi chef for our upscale casual restaurant in Castro Valley. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of sushi chef experience in a fine dining environment, with a strong preference for those who have worked in Michelin starred restaurants. We specialize in edomae omakase sushi and do not offer fusion dishes.

Responsibilities for the Sushi Chef role include, but are not limited to:
- Proficiency in food cost management and kitchen operations
- Expertise in breaking down and preparing various types of fish and traditional Japanese ingredients
- Ability to make fine and high-quality Nigiri and Sashimi dishes
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
- Thriving in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen environment
- Training and overseeing other chefs and kitchen staff
- Extensive experience in creating sushi omakase menus
- Providing excellent customer service
