Minimum Requirements

Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.

Current Texas Pharmacist license in good standing.

Minimum 1 year of recent pharmacist experience in a hospital setting.

PGY1 Residency preferred.

IV Certification.

Position Summary
The Pharmacist is responsible to perform and participates in supporting pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Position Responsibilities
-
Supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff effectively.

Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately into the clinical information system.

Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose.

Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners.

Attend daily clinical rounds.

Provide accurate and timely medication information to patients and providers.

Participate in required training programs for pharmacists.

All other duties as assigned.
