Summary: The Agronomy Production Specialist helps to increase and service ATCs market share of fertilizer, ag-chemicals, seed products and agronomy services. This position is responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This position will advise producers on crop nutrient and ag-chemical products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provides customers with proper recommendations on seed-fertilizer-chemical applications based on best management practices.
· Scouts producer fields and crops.
· Conducts soil sampling.
· Responsible for farm sales and service calls.
· Assists in crop production inventory management.
· Helps to conduct producer informational meetings and demonstration plots.
· Assists with the coordination of custom application.
· Directs and coordinates no-till drill, planter, strip-till activities for the Southern division.
· Develops timely crop production informational articles for ATCs newsletter.
· Communicates with supervisor and branch locations frequently on developments in crop production development.
· Maintains positive customer and employee relations.
· Stays up to date on new technology in crop production.
· Takes direction from Seed Division Manager and Crop Protection Division Manager to ensure that the overall agronomy needs of producers/customers are being met.
· Communicates clearly and directly with supervisors, peers, customers and direct reports. Approachable, relates well to others, engages people, articulates clearly and actively listens
Required Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Agronomy or related area.
· 1 year of ag-related experience
*Equivalent Combination of education/experience will be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
