Batcher II
The Batcher II Technician II is responsible for preparing and mixing of appropriate ingredients required to produce finished syrup from calculation for aseptic bottling operations based upon number of cases and tanks scheduled for production each shift.
Shift & Schedule: Our Allentown site is a 24/7 facility. Our shift patterns follow a 12hr, 2-2-3 schedule. With this schedule you are working a full time job while only working half of the days out of the year! Great work life balance! This is a full time position on Day Shift (see shift details below). Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required.
Days: 6:00am-6:00pm

Responsibilities:

Basic understanding of Batch Management system; reads and follows Batch recipes to create finished syrup from calculations for aseptic bottling.

Check in, sample, load/unload of raw material bulk tankers and other unitized loads of juice concentrates and other materials.

Locate, validate, and weigh kit ingredients to staging area for end use batching

Assist in reporting of progress of work, inventory levels, and costs, and identifies production problems and operates material handling equipment.

Weighs materials, pumping ingredients out of mixing drums and totes.

Ensures that all product produced meets quality specification by properly sanitizing all equipment, following recipe instructions, and calculating and accurately measuring all ingredients. Conducts in-process quality checks and provides samples for the quality lab.

Completes appropriate documentation to support inventory accuracy and batch traceability by recording production information and material usage in SAP as the actual production takes place. Maintains production logs as necessary.

Operates sanitation equipment/Clean in Place (CIP) systems and completes product transfers to liquid packaging lines.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in batching, blending, and mixing
- Must have computer skills, with ability to accurately input data

Must possess good communication skills, and the proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must possess the ability to effectively apply mathematical concepts and reasoning skills.
- Must be able to complete forklift certification. Prior forklift experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly

Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motion Ability to spend significant time standing on the manufacturing floor with some frequency of computer work
Total Rewards:
- Compensation: Pay starting at $25.85 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $27.25 per hour in the quarter after their 6 month anniversary.
