Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trainer to join our team. As a Trainer, you will be responsible for providing training and support to adults with developmental disabilities in the Ridgecrest area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' lives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop customized schedules based on clients' needs and goals
- Provide one-on-one training sessions, ensuring success with daily living responsibililties
- Lead group fitness classes and provide instruction on proper exercise techniques
- Educate clients on healthy lifestyle habits, and daily practices
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust training programs as needed
- Maintain data and documentation to support evidence of training techniques and tasks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in working with adults with disabilities strongly recommended but not required
- Strong communication, record keeping and organizational skills
- The ability to support clients with navigating their community through advocacy
- Empathy, patience, and leadership skills
- Self- starter and ability to respond to guidance and directives
- Must have reliable transportation
