Job Summary:
The primary responsibility is to manage all aspects of the Diabetes Annual Audit including the data collection and reporting.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Project Manager. Ideally, this position can be remote, but would be located in Albuquerque, NM, or the DC Metro area.
Responsibilities and duties:
· Processes and analyzes data for annual Diabetes Audit project using data from more than 125,000 people with diabetes.
· Prepares summary reports and data visualizations.
· Serves as team lead, which includes coordinating meetings; preparing documentation; and overseeing project website.
· Coordinates and provides Audit training and technical assistance for participating facilities.
· Coordinates development and maintenance of web-based software application to collect, process, and report Diabetes Audit data, used annually by over 300 health care facilities and 400 individuals. Directs work of software developer; develops project specifications and documentation; tests functionality; and provides user training and support.
· Processes and analyzes data from federal Data Warehouse, which contains patient registration and encounter data for over 1 million patients.
· Prepares reports of methods and results for projects including diabetes prevalence, childhood obesity, and hepatitis C.
· Provides guidance on data projects for grant program that distributes funds annually to over 300 communities and health care facilities. Projects include web-based data system for collecting, processing, and reporting on required outcome measures.
· Consults on design of forms, data collection, presentation of data, organization of electronic files, database design and development, and statistical analysis.
· Assists on data projects as needed.
· Works within a dynamic team environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s or master’s of science degree in Biostatistics or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of experience of statistical analysis, Statistical Analysts Software (SAS) programming, data management, data presentation and data report creation including data cleaning and segmentation.
- 5 years of experience with federated database system, Epi Data Mart, and Diabetes Audit.
- Proficient at calculating national, area and local data elements, including diabetes prevalence, clinical process and outcome measures, and other public health and performance measures.

Pay: From $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
