Title: BMET II/III
Contract: 12-month contract
Travel: 100% travel to Denver Colorado
Start: 7/1 or 7/8
The Biomed Technician Trainer will provide support for the transition of St. Anthony the client’s legacy network to the new network in a hospital setting. The scope includes updating end points and IP migration primarily but may include inventory verification support and/or other device location or transition efforts. The devices to be included range from infusion pumps through imaging equipment. The Biomed Technician Trainer will work to train 2 Biomedical Netowrk Engineering Trainees as well as provide hands-on support for the transition. The trainer will teach/coach the skills necessary for the trainees to complete this work independently by the end of the 3 month contract. The team will also include a Network Technician to specialize in the IT and non-biomedical equipment space; this individual will not require training from the trainer.
Desired Experience:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military training
- Valid driver’s license required; variable travel requirements depending on primary site that may require use of personal vehicle
- Intermediate computer skills required, including the ability to administrate a system, interpret error codes, defragment hard-drives, replace power supplies, interpret computer codes, and apply networking concepts
- Strong communication and willingness to work in teams
- Experience in transitioning a hospital network including re-IP devices, end point updates, inventory verification, Biomedical device support
