SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer will design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. The Process Engineer will be responsible for delivering regular recommendations on how to maintain staff levels and lower costs, while meeting all quality standards set forth by the company and government regulations. The successful candidate will work side-by-side with the management staff to discover inefficiencies in business processes and then determine the best ways to bring our business methods in line with quality, safety, production, and financial goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
- Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities. Track metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades. Conduct risk assessments.
- Confer with technical personnel to prepare designs or operational plans. Utilize process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production strategies.
- Estimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and control.
- Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
- Provide thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes. Document process status and changes. Communicates findings and proposals to upper management.
- Assess compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.

- Deep Understanding of Manufacturing Processes 3-5 years: Solid grasp of manufacturing techniques specific to ball production, including materials, machinery, and common challenges.
- Cost Analysis and Optimization: Adept at estimating production costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and understanding financial implications of design changes.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Familiar with implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control procedures to meet company and regulatory standards.
- Effective Communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical information and process changes to both technical and non-technical staff, including preparing comprehensive documentation and presenting findings to upper management.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including machinists, quality control personnel, and management.
- Problem-Solving and Innovation: Proactive in identifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
- Safety Standards: Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe working environment and avoid legal issues.
- Risk Assessment: Capable of conducting detailed risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate potential hazards.
- Metrics and Monitoring: Ability to track and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and monitor the success of implemented changes.
- Lean Manufacturing Principles: Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies (such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, 7 Waste of Lean Manufacturing) to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree- Engineering or related field (Required)
- 3 years experience in Process Engineering
