Production Operator
The Finishing group performs a wide variety of work throughout the plant. The Production Operator of ECT Finishing performs the below listed specific tasks as well as any other finishing activities. They support R&D activities within the normal scope of work and they take direction from the team lead, Area Leaders, Manufacturing Engineering and the MSO.
Duties and responsibilities
- Preparing and inspecting mandrels and substrates for all of the different coating processes
- Building loads, providing help to the furnace room to load furnaces and disassembly of loads
- Product finishing operations for all products to achieve in-process and final part specifications
- In-process and final inspection of all materials to specification through the use of inspection tools, gauges and techniques
- Cleaning of setup parts for all loads
- Maintain product counts, package and label product for shipments and report out in SAP
- Cleaving TPG to pre-milling thickness
- Cutting up PG loads on the band saw to pre-annealing dimensions
- Providing help to applicable machining\inspection group for such duties as de-burring, cleaning, packing, labeling and Heli coil insertion
- Operating QV System, helium pycnometer, comparator, and colorimeter
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- Proficiency with SAP transactions or similar business software
- Proficient with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards
- Proficient with MS Office applications such as word, excel, and outlook
- Customer Focus
- Familiarity with required inspection equipment
- Mechanical aptitude
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- External Candidate- 3 years inspection experience
