JOB BRIEF
This position provides both face to face & telehealth counseling: individual, group, couples, and/or families. Hope Avenue clinicians are responsible for maintaining their own caseload, completing all required documentation as governed by insurance and company policy.
We are looking for a part-time clinician to join our team. Our caseload consists of private pay & insurance based individuals.
Therapist will need to be credentialed upon hire. [Typical credentialling time 45-60 days.]
As a behavioral health clinician, you are often times the first point of contact for our clients. We are looking for a professional, friendly, and empathetic clinician to support our client needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in face to face interactions as well as on the internet.
- Complete intake assessments which include documentation such as Mental Status Exams, Biopsychosocial, Risk Assessment, Cross cutting symptom measure, etc.
- Effectively create and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
- Communicate with referral sources as well as Primary Care Physicians after initial intake as well as every 90 days as required by insurance.
- Complete progress notes within 24 hours of time of service.
- Complete time sheet daily reflecting the billable hours worked.
- Maintain client’s charts and keep complete and correct documentation.
- Complete discharge summaries as required by insurance.
- Develop rapport with clients in order to facilitate a healthy professional relationship.
- Exercise sound clinical and professional judgement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Must be licensed in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. A copy of the license is required upon interview.
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- License: Must be licensed in the State of California as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
- A copy of the license is required.
- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors
- License: Must be licensed in the State of California as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
- A copy of the license is required.
- Knowledge and clinical experience with children, teens, and/or adults with mental health issues (trauma, anxiety, transitional issues, parenting, depression, borderline personality disorder, etc.)
- Must have knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of counseling services.
- Must have knowledge of strategies for examining, applying and evaluating cognitive/behavioral therapy concepts. Additional skills required include thorough knowledge of the clinical aspects of the mental health field.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All interested applicants may be asked to provide a diagnostic assessment on site as well as write a clinical note and treatment plan to demonstrate evidence of sound clinical skills.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
