Job Title: Production Employee – Inventory Control Clerk
Department: Operations – Production
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for directing the systematic scanning, issuing, and returning of raw ingredients and packaging materials in all functional areas of the production process; This includes raw ingredients in the kitchen area, film at the flow wrappers, and packaging materials in the packaging area. This position will oversee all production issuance and return activities on their shift.
The Inventory Control Clerk will coordinate with the Material Handlers and Production Line Leads as well as Production Operators to ensure that all raw material and packaging needed for a production run is properly accounted for in the company’s ERP system.
This position will be trained to have a thorough understanding of our manufacturing process flow as well as our ERP system. The Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for daily metrics related to yields and scanning accuracy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Follow safety policies and protocols; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
· Uphold highest standards of food safety and product quality through observance of allergen protocols, and Good Manufacturing Practices; promptly report food safety and quality issues as necessary

· Assure materials are issued for production properly for their scheduled shift.
· Oversee scanning and issuing of raw ingredients and packaging materials to production runs in both the kitchen and downstream in wrapping and packaging areas
· Execute scanning of WIP pallets to packaging runs
· Monitor printing of finished goods and WIP labels
· Work directly with production and inventory control teams
· Work with various levels of plant management in developing processes and procedures around scanning
· Return raw ingredients and packaging materials to the drop zone systematically after runs are complete
· Complete daily reconciliation of production yields, monitor yield report checking for accuracy
· Train leads and operators to perform scanning functions
· Assist in the building of SOPs as needed
· Other duties as assigned by management

Qualification Summary:
This position is primarily filled through time on the job and gained experience in manufacturing. Candidates that demonstrate skills and cross training in manufacturing can progress to apply when positions are posted.
Education/ Experience/ Skills Desired:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing or food handling experience
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
· Understanding of SQF, GMP’s, food safety, people safety, and food quality requirements
· Ability to work with and train following standard operating procedures, recipes, and production instructions.
· Personal accountability to your responsibilities
· Ability to learn ERP system
· Ability to consistently identify quantities of ingredients and materials that are on pallets
· Ability to work collaboratively within small and large, diverse teams
· Comfortable with fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Language/Mathematical/Reasoning Ability:
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
· Must have functional ability to understand and speak English
· Must be able to follow documented procedures that may be written in English only
· May be asked to use simple mathematic equations (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)
· When issues arise, may be asked to assist in the troubleshooting process
Supervision Given:
This position will report to their shift’s Production Supervisor. The Inventory Control Clerk will also work closely with the Cost Control Analyst.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include looking at a computer screen and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to effectively communicate using telephone, two-way radio, and email.

On-site at our headquarters located in Loveland, CO
Travel Required:
Very Limited – May be asked to go off-site (locally) for equipment training, safety/food safety training and other short duration items. No overnight travel expected.
