The Role
Are you a meticulous and experienced professional with a knack for both estimation and project management in the industrial cleaning and facility management sectors? We are looking for a Project Manager that has experience in industrial cleaning estimating with a focus on facility management to join our innovative and dynamic TEAM! This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial and operational success of our projects across a range of industrial environments, including specialized settings in the cleaning sector. The ideal candidate will excel in accurately predicting project costs, optimizing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations while integrating facility management best practices.
*Based at our office in Taylor, Michigan, the successful candidate must be willing to travel to our various site locations in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Accurately forecast costs for labor, supplies, and materials needed for industrial cleaning and facility management projects;
- Prepare detailed financial reports and budget forecasts for clients;
- Evaluate and compare bids from multiple vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality services;
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures for equipment and supplies without compromising quality;
- Provide clients with advice on the most cost-effective methods to meet their industrial cleaning and facility management needs, ensuring industry standards are met;
- Generate comprehensive expense reports throughout the project duration, focusing on both cleaning and broader facility management aspects.
- Develop schedules to inform clients about project progress, including any changes due to plan modifications or shifts in material or labor availability;
- Conduct regular site visits to analyze conditions, review project blueprints, and ensure accurate estimations and project execution. Oversee facility management tasks to enhance operational efficiency and safety;
- Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery;
- Maintain open communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with project progress and outcomes;
- Ensure all projects meet high standards of quality and comply with safety regulations and building codes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation in the IFM hard and soft services including commercial/industrial cleaning is required;
- A minimum of 7 of years experience as a Project Manager in the industrial cleaning or facility management industry is required;
- Previous experience in vendor and subcontractor coordination is considered an asset;
- Previous experience in quality control is considered an asset;
- A strong understanding of safety regulations, building codes, and relevant laws is required;
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills;
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, salesforce and estimation software;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills;
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with precision and attention to detail;
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Facility Management, or a related field is required;
- Ability to travel within the United States and commute to Taylor, MI for work is required.
