Job Description:
1. Financial Strategy:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support decision-making.
2. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
3. Risk Management:
- Assess and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to optimize financial resources.
- Develop and implement cash management strategies to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor banking relationships and negotiate financing agreements as needed.
5. Financial Operations:
- Oversee accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
6. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the MCA industry.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including licensing requirements and consumer protection laws.
- Work closely with legal counsel and regulatory agencies to address compliance issues and mitigate regulatory risks.
7. Leadership and Team Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to finance team members.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the finance organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in financial leadership roles, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, products, and regulations related to merchant cash advances.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on driving results, fostering teamwork, and developing talent.
