Responsibilities:
· Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations
· Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
· Assist clients with tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities
· Provide guidance on tax-related issues and answer client inquiries
· Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
· Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
· Assist in the preparation of financial analysis and forecasts
· Utilize accounting software to record and analyze financial data
· Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles
· Assist with federal, state, and local tax audits and correspond with federal, state, and local authorities regarding audit issues and/or tax notices.
Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
· CPA certification or EA preferred
· Proven experience in tax preparation and compliance
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
· Familiarity with financial analysis techniques and tools
· Experience with Windows based systems, accounting software, tax preparation software, QuickBooks, and Excel required
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Experience with Fiduciaries and Not-For-Profits is a plus
