Stanton Home is looking for a compassionate caregiver to support an adult woman with disabilities and join our dedicated care team.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one on one daily living assistance to an adult female with disabilities who is supported medically 24/7 by a Registered Nurse. This includes working closely with the Registered Nurse during meal time assistance, bathroom assistance, ambulation support and carrying personal items.
- Collaborate with a Registered Nurse as well as program managers to ensure all day programming goals are met. Assist with a variety of day program activities involving hand-over-hand support with the use of a communication device. The day program schedule includes regularly providing support in a swimming pool.

Stanton Home has a team of 70+ dedicated professionals who partner with and provide support to over 20 adults with diverse needs. These adults live in 8 beautiful homes in Berkshire communities (MA & CT) and come together daily for a vibrant day program at Stanton Home Farm in Great Barrington, MA with activities including gardening, composting, music, yoga, horseback riding, hiking, weaving, culinary arts, and more.
Our Day program is located in Great Barrington, MA and the Residential programs are located in Southern Berkshire County, MA and Canaan, CT.
Direct Care Staff assist with activities of daily living and personal care necessary for the health, safety, and well-being of the people we support.
In our RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM you will be part of a small team that provides support in a person-centered, home-like environment.
All of our lovely residences support up to 3 people and are unique to those who live there, with staff playing an active role in the rhythms and routines of daily life, which focus on healthy living. We have a strong focus on promoting outdoor activities and on locally grown, organic foods.
Our DAY PROGRAM offers gardening in our large organic and biodynamic garden, a composting and mushroom growing program, a culinary program, a 15-loom weavery, and various activities throughout the local community. Direct care staff partner with day program participants to support them in their programming.
The nurturing, close-knit community, for which Stanton Home has been known for over thirty years, is felt by everyone who visits, lives, works or volunteers here.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate: based on experience and education
- $500 Signing Bonus: Upon completion of three months (500 hours) of work
- Benefits Package: Includes a 3% employer matched Simple IRA, after 6 months of employment.
- Vacation: Flexible Paid Time Off for flexible use, after 3 months of employment.
- Holidays: Earn time and a half for direct care on all ten designated holidays.
