USPRO is actively seeking a highly adaptable HR Generalist to join a growing company to apply business knowledge and human resource expertise to the business, primarily to drive the maintenance and improvement of the general HR function, specifically processing payroll and driving compliance.
The ideal candidate MUST be bilingual in English and Portuguese.
Duration: Permanent hire, fully onsite.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
Compensation: Salary range starting at $70k/yr, flexibility dependent on experience.
SUMMARY
The HR Generalist will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and HR best practices, while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and the leadership team. This is both a strategic and hands-on role, doing everything from coaching managers, to answering HR related questions and requests, to on-boarding employees while holding the responsibility of processing payroll and handling compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- First point of contact for general employee questions around policies and procedures
- Coordinates the hiring process, posting jobs, scheduling interviews, communicating with new hire
- Facilitates employee onboarding, orientation, background checks and drug screens
- Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employee
- Communicates HR initiatives and ensures employee assessments are completed and administered on schedule
- Assists with some training and development functions
- Acts as the main point of contact for the recruitment effort
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of general Human Resource experience.
- 1+ years of high-volume recruiting experience.
- Bilingual English & Portuguese required.
- Employee relations exposure.
- Familiar with basic HR policy and procedure.
- Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- A knack for problem solving, using sound judgement.
- Growth-oriented and adaptable to change.
- Experience with ADP workforce now a plus.
- Willingness to work a part-time schedule that fits the needs of the business.
- Proven ability to successfully work with individuals at various levels of the organization.
- Business acumen - you understand what drives our business and see how HR programs can best support, and are seen as a credible resource to our local leadership team.
