Leidos QTC Health Services is hiring a LSS Project Lead who is responsible for instructing and leading cross-functional teams in adapting to and understanding improvement processes, facilitating Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), and overseeing process improvement projects. The LSS Project Lead will also assist in interpreting customer needs, requirements and identify process improvement opportunities. This role will also lead data collection efforts and provide process improvement recommendations through measurable, data-driven solutions. This role will assist all lines of business and will be collaborating with subject matter experts from departments across the enterprise.
- This role is fully remote with preference to those with a commutable distance to the Leidos QTC Health Sciences San Dimas, CA office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead process improvement projects through the application of Lean Six Sigma and project management tools.
- Actively identify potential risks & issues relating to the delivery of projects and manage a resolution process in a timely manner, escalating major issues.
- Work with business functions to develop and implement data gathering techniques to identify and rank opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Deliver training and provide mentoring support in Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Kaizen and workshop facilitation techniques, while being an exemplar of all of these skills among others.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Competencies:
- Solid knowledge in LSS tools and methodologies such as DMAIC, VSM, Process Mapping, RACI, Fishbone, Pareto analysis, Kanban, Kaizen, RCA.
- Proficient with project management tools and techniques
- Enthusiastic change agent with strong leadership skills in driving and managing change
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Effective time management and operates with a sense of urgency
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in business administration and/or statistics.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in leading LSS and Process Improvement Projects.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (required)
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified or pursuing certification
- Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
Pay and Benefits:
Salary range (level 2) $72,000 - $90,000
Other levels may be considered, and then include something like this in the pay range area:
The hourly ranges for each level are as follows:
(Level 3) - 7+ years of experience: $90,000 - $110,000
