Del Mesa Carmel is a 55-and-over community with 289 low-rise units, 30+ employees and a $7M+ annual budget. Great opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with others and providing the best customer service. The front desk receptionist performs a variety of clerical and secretarial duties, reporting directly to the Administrative Coordinator.
Responsibilities: All duties performed by the Receptionist contribute positively to the front desk operations and enhance the welcoming environment in the Del Mesa Carmel Community clubhouse:
- Responsible for ensuring front desk is ready for operations at the start of the shift
- Greets residents, answers phone, takes messages, and handles all aspect of the front desk
- Performs administrative and clerical duties as assigned
- Assists residents in preparing copies and sending/receiving faxes and completes form to charge account
- Acts as an information center for all questions from any resident, guest, or relator, and for emergency situations such as a power outage
- Counts petty cash drawer beginning and end of each shift
- Goes above and beyond in providing customer service to residents and their guests
- Maintains lobby and ensures it is always neat, clean and organized
- Submits work orders into Jonas and prints a copy for the maintenance department
- Performs administrative duties related to Guest Units and ensures they are ready for occupancy and properly assigned
- Assists in coordinating emergency procedures in case of fire, injury or illness until management or emergency personnel arrive
- Acts as point of contact for security guards for questions on entry
- Prepares and distributes courtesy notices to residents as needed (i.e., water shut offs or other planned service interruptions)
- Maintains accurate records of keys being logged out and returned
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work part time hours as follows and have scheduling flexibility:
Monday: 7:30am-3:00pm
Wednesday: 7:30am-3:00pm
Sunday: 7:30am-2:30pm
- Previous experience with providing excellent customer service
- A minimum of one year of administrative and/or reception experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
