Summary
This position will lead development and activation of a multi-year IT strategy which will be centered new business models for GLOVIS America, with technology as a key enabler. Primary duties will plan IT strategy to support company business, also find and deploy new IT technology and lead IT project to success GLOVIS goals with logistic ERP system development background. This position also will contribute to IT team with data analysis skills by collecting the data from various sources. Ensuring stabilization of the solution and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- IT Strategy and Planning

IT strategic business planning & progress checking align with HOD’s direction new business opportunities

Provide strategic justification through the preparation of a business case for each major IT project

Liaise with internal stakeholders subsidiary IT counterparts to ensure clear and consistent communication about IT decisions that impact the broader organization

Manage critical issues & resolutions related to existing Application Systems

Direct and design system architecture and evaluate/propose Hardware, software, solutions

Share system knowledge with team members so there is a backup member when one is absent

Keep up with new technology/trend and adopt them to IT system

Act as a liaison with customers and partners’ IT Departments

System Improvement

Lead system improvement initiatives with quantifiable and tangible results

Assist in the development of continuous improvement project plans, monitor and report on KPI
-
Create data analysis and reports to identify performance patterns/trends and opportunities
-
Oversees large, complex, more important solutions or more than one solution, including planning

System Enhancement in Applications & Infrastructure

New implementation and Modification of IT program/software

Requirements analysis and Application System Design and Development including Data base

Implementation and testing the Enterprise-Applications

Research for the enhancement or improvement of IT systems

Create and deliver functional documentation for related applications that support business operations

Data analysis and correction

Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot system issues

Monitor and resolve system failures independently

Generate data analysis requested by users

Plan and lead new project - application

Project management of enterprise-wide projects (Estimate due dates for each deliverable and input deliverables,
dependencies and mile stones. Information sharing about project progress with team members and users -
Documentation of project plan for clear communication and information sharing to identify user requirement clearly

Conduct a risk assessment and develop a risk management strategy
Compensation Range
$118,000- $134,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Experience in the development and writing of detailed, actionable requirements and functional specifications Required

Excellent business analysis, test planning, activity planning skills Required

8+ years of hands-on end to end IT systems development or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Required

Effective leadership skills, a demonstrable ability to motivate project teams and maintain effective relationships with business representatives independently Required

Have a good understanding and extensive knowledge of Logistics industry concepts Required

Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree Required

8-12 Years of Experience in Information Technology, System Development, & Logistics Industry Required
