The country's leading artisan preserve and marmalade maker, Blake Hill Preserves, is looking to add Brand Ambassadors to our team! We are a third generation English fruit preservatory in Vermont. A dedicated artisan preserve maker with phenomenal continuous growth every year since our start in 2009. Inspired by childhood memories foraging hedgerow fruit along English country lanes to create fresh homemade jam, Vicky and Joe launched Blake Hill Preserves. After discovering an abundance of wild berries on their old Vermont farming property and making jams that quickly sold out at their local village store, they realized they had something special!
We are looking to recruit a qualified, energetic and engaging individual on a Part Time Basis, but are also happy to speak with candidates that have Full Time availability. The retail shop is open Monday through Sunday, and Demos generally take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so weekend availability is ideal.
As a key member of our Brand Ambassador team, your primary responsibilities may include:
- Delivering the highest quality customer service through effective communication with customers, inviting them into the story behind our different collections and guiding them through our tasting experience.
- Supporting customer experience online, email or by phone.
- Facilitating the day to day needs of the shop and our customers, aiming to exceed their expectations of excellent customer service.
- Processing day to day retail transactions, including checkouts and daily reconciliations.
- Maintaining a photo ready shoppe or event display that’s ready to host media, influencers and our amazing customers.
- Working closely with the Shop & Business Sales Managers to develop ways of increasing sales through displays, marketing and other creative mediums.
- Participating in the overall day to day operations of the whole business including stocking, answering phones, entering orders, preparing for events and more.
- Implementing and measuring the success of short and long term sales/merchandising goals.
- Engaging customers on Blake Hill’s online resources - recipes & overall website.
- Executing effective and engaging demonstrations and events on and off site for a host of customer groups.
- Participating in the development of this rapidly expanding business / brand by bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to the team.
- Supporting and maintaining SOP documents for this role.

Attributes we'd love:
- Retail sales and merchandising experience
- Technology literate
- Able to stand for 8 hours*
- Familiar with Google Suite and Shopify a plus!
- Degree or High School diploma (required)
- 1-2 yrs previous experience in retail/service operations preferred
