Licensed CT Technologist
Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly - PRN, Full-time, Part-time
Description
The CT Technologist provides quality care to patients undergoing CT procedures. Demonstrates full knowledge of CT procedures and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate the patient experience by greeting patients, explaining pre and post procedure instructions, and verifying patient’s identity.
- Perform CT exams using proper protocols and positioning techniques, transporting patients safely, verifying accuracy of orders and documenting patient information.
- Documenting patient’s exam through data entry, report retrieval, scanning and recording the exam details in the electronic medical record system.
- Conduct environmental and safety procedures including cleaning and sterilizing the exam room and equipment. Evaluate and maintain supply levels and practice safe patient maneuvers.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications and societies.
Qualifications
Education: Certified Radiologic Technologist; Board Certified in CT
Experience: 1 to 3 years’ experience radiologic technologist with at least 1 year training in general CT and knowledge of CTA coronaries.
Knowledge: Consistently demonstrate commitment to safe practices while abiding by all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Skills: Basic computer skills including Email and ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record System and PACS Systems. Use of CT equipment, contrast injectors and general office equipment.
Licensure/Certification: Board Certified RT (CT) in good standing with ARRT
Physical requirements: Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling
Conditions of employment: CPR Certification, compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, radiation dosimeter badge and all required Personal Protective Equipment
