Duties:
- Answer phone calls from clients and potential clients, providing professional and empathetic communication.
-Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research, and initial case
assessments.
- Order and organize medical records and bills as part of case preparation.
- Manage case files from opening to demand preparation, ensuring all aspects are handled efficiently.
- Draft legal documents, legal demands and correspondences under the supervision of our managing legal team.
- Handle client inquiries regarding case status, providing timely and accurate updates.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in discussions and documentation.
- Interview clients to gather necessary information for case preparation.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal (required)
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Proficiency in using Case Management Software (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of legal administrative procedures and terminology
- Excellent proofreading and writing skills
- Familiarity with legal research tools like Westlaw/LexisNexis (preferred)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
