Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development
- Cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils,
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Assist with catering events as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in food handling techniques, proper cooking methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of menu planning and the ability to create balanced and flavorful dishes
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
