Full time paralegal to assist attorneys in all aspects of civil litigation. Duties range from case preparation and file management to client communication, drafting routine documents, collection of relevant information, and trial preparation. Applicant may conduct investigations and review and analyze various reports and records.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
-Draft routine correspondence and communicate with the various parties involved in a civil matter.
-Communicate with client
-Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, pleadings, etc.
-Draft routine legal documents.
-Prepare and complete discovery responses.
-Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial.
-Categorize and review reports/information.
-Conduct investigations as needed.
-Coordinate requests and scheduling between multiple parties involved in litigation.
EDUCATION/COURSE OF STUDY:
-College or Associates Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience required
WORK EXPERIENCE:
-Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience required.
OTHER:
-Strong grammar and writing skills
-Knowledge of law office procedures and local court/jurisdiction rules and procedures
-Resourceful research and analytical skills
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
-Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
-Ability to manage time and tasks effectively
-Able to maintain strict confidentiality
