Upper School (US) Assistant Golf Coach (Spring Season- February through May)
Job Summary
The positions are responsible for coaching student-athlete/team strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition and to help them develop an appreciation of sports participation.
Responsibilities include:
Coach and instruct players, individually or in groups, regarding the sport's rules, regulations, equipment, techniques, and tactics.
Observe players during practice and competition to determine individual or team improvement needs.
Determine game strategy based on the individual and team’s capabilities.
Establish and maintain high standards of behavior and supervise athletes at all times.
Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
Observe school, league, state, regional, and national athletic program regulations.
Model positive behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, parents, officials, and spectators – practice good sportsmanship.
Employ nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
Assign duties to assistant coach(es) as necessary.
Job Compensation
Nueva provides a competitive salary/stipend based on the practice and game schedule and the coaching assignment (Head Coach vs Assistant Coach). The overall stipend range is $3,000-$5,000. The salary is based upon, but not limited to, coaching/participation experience, licensing, certification, and overall education/knowledge in the sport.
