Esther V. Rettig, MD PA is a well-established ophthalmology practice in McPherson with a satellite office in Salina. We are always searching for a positive, motivated, independent individual to add to our clinical team! Ophthalmic or Optometric experience is preferred.
Position Summary:
Esther V. Rettig, MD PA is actively recruiting to add to our growing team! Reliability, punctuality and the desire to learn and grow are necessities. Kindness to patients and teamwork with co-workers is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Document patient's chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, and all pertinent ocular findings accurately and in accordance with compliance guidelines.
- Perform testing to include visual acuity measurement, color vision testing, lensometry, keratometry, testing pupil function, tonometry, automated perimetry, confrontation visual field testing, manifest refractions, etc.
- Assist in minor procedures
- Ability to scribe or the desire to learn to scribe.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude! Eagerness to learn and ability to learn quickly
- High School Diploma or GED
- COA/COT certification preferred but not required
- Ophthalmic and/or optometric technician experience preferred
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions or work performed
- Accepts constructive criticism
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly with attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to change in the workplace
- Ability to communicate effectively with others using good listening skills and the spoken word. Ability to write clearly and concisely using good grammar and spelling.
- Proficient working in electronic medical records software
- Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
- Demonstrates reliability in attendance and punctuality.
- The ability to work with others and independently for a common goal. Puts aside own individual needs to work toward the larger group objective and reinforces the contribution of others.
- Team player that develops strong collaborative working relationships with co-workers and physicians.
- Hourly pay is commensurate with skill level.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
