About Colorado College:
Colorado College ("CC") is a private, four-year, highly selective liberal arts college of 2,300 undergraduate students and a small Master of Arts in teaching program. It is located on a 99-acre campus adjacent to downtown, Olympic City', Colorado Springs. The campus sits on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains at the foot of Pikes Peak. The college operates an innovative curricular approach, known as the Block Plan, which entails students taking one course at a time for three and a half weeks, with the academic year divided into eight "blocks." The Colorado College Department of Athletics sponsors 17 varsity programs. Fifteen programs compete at the NCAA Division III level and two at the Division I level. Division III programs are members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC), with the exception of Men's Lacrosse (independent) and Women's Lacrosse (WIAC affiliate). Division I Men's Hockey is a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) and Division I Women's Soccer competes as an affiliate member of the Mountain West Conference (MWC).
Summary Description:
The primary function of this position is to assist in the day-to-day operations of a highly competitive Division III program. Responsibilities for this position include leading, developing and coaching student-athletes, effectively teaching team and individual skills connected with team and player development. Recruit and retain prospective student athletes while adhering to the philosophy of Colorado College and appropriate NCAA Division III and Conference Rules. Assist Head Coach in administrative tasks to include travel coordination, equipment management, student athlete support as well as campus involvement and engagement through fund raising, alumni relations, clinics, and community service projects. Assist Aquatics Director in scheduling, training, and retaining lifeguards, precuring outside rentals and maintaining relationships with local clubs and aquatics programs on campus and in the community.

- Lead, develop and coach student-athletes.

- Serve as an ambassador of Colorado College; support and represent the mission of the college as well identify prospective student athletes who can thrive in a championship culture that sustains academic excellence.
- Supplement a Liberal Arts education by holistically engaging student athletes around the sport of Swimming and Diving, by helping them develop foundational skill sets such as time management, preparation and work ethic that build self-efficacy and contribute directly to the teams competitive success.
- Utilize various technology platforms, video and sport-specific software programs for coaching, instruction, contest preparation, completion of scouting reports as well as the execution of recruiting duties.
- Assist Head Coach in administrative tasks to include travel coordination, equipment management, student athlete support as well as campus involvement and engagement by the Swimming and Diving program.
- Assist in program fund raising, alumni relations, clinics, and community service projects.
- Abide by all conference, NCAA, and Colorado College rules, regulations and bylaws.
- Assist Aquatics Director in scheduling, training, and retaining lifeguards. Assist in precuring outside rentals and maintaining relationships with local clubs and aquatics programs on campus and in the community. Assist in communications with facility maintenance.
- Assist Athletics Department and Colorado College Special Event and Game Operations as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year institution plus a minimum of three years playing/coaching experience at the collegiate level; proficient in computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic knowledge scouting software, recruiting software, social media platforms and video editing software; proven ability to develop strong working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socio-economic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and other aspects of human diversity; available to work evening and weekend hours and to travel extensively, often by airplane. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record that is insurable by Colorado Colleges motor vehicle insurance carrier.
