The Graveyard Front Desk Clerk is responsible for:
Assisting guests with check-in and check-out, answers and processes phone calls received, plus handles all special requests for services or information, in accordance with standard policies and procedures. Hours 11pm - 7am.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This includes a willingness and ability to walk the property after dark, deal with the occasional upset or intoxicated customer, etc...it's a small property, at night a desk clerk handles issues themselves, a successful candidate must be able to do so!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Maintain complete knowledge at all times of a) all hotel features/services, hours of operation. b) all room rates, special packages.
- Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies.
- Keep bank secure at all times.
- Answer department telephone within 3 rings, using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Verify registration card information with the guests.
- Process check-in and check-out guests as required.
- Accept and record wake-up call requests.
- Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping.
- Report discrepancies to Manager.
- Capable of confronting a person not following the rules.
- No Nonsense attitude.
- Multi-Tasking.
- Bilingual a plus
