United Staffing Solutions is looking for Embroidery Machine Operators in Brooklyn, NY for a Uniform Manufacturing Company. This is a full time position with full benefits offered after probationary period
Pay: $18/hr
Schedule: 7am-4pm
JOB DUTIES/QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
- Analyzing and understanding job order before starting each embroidery project.
- Selecting the thread, fabric, hoops, and designs appropriate to each project.
- Setting up machines and supervising the embroidery process.
- Carefully read instructional manuals to ensure smooth troubleshooting and repair processes.
- Performing regular machine and inventory inspections and reporting any issues or reordering stock as required.
- Providing suggestions regarding the design, placement, fabric, and thread selection.
- Great hand-eye coordination and ability to differentiate between colors and fabrics.
- Providing training and guidance to new staff.
- Keeping track of work orders and updating records.
- Excellent time management; Skilled in problem resolution and decision-making.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the protection of people, data, property.
- Excellent time management and machine operator skills,
- Must be able to communicate regularly in-person and through written means and understand and exchange accurate information.
- Maintains a professional demeanor and an enthusiastic attitude.
- Follows all required safety policies, practices, and procedures while performing duties.
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
- Organizes work area to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Cross train in other areas as needed; Performs other duties as assigned
DESIRABLE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience as an embroidery machine operator, sewing machines, machine operating or similar preferred. (not required but very nice to have)
- Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, analytical skills, and reliability
- Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and excellent customer service and communication skills needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a course in design or similar would be advantageous.
- Experience as an embroidery machine operator or similar.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- The ability to read and understand instructional manuals and job orders.
- Excellent administrative abilities and attention to detail.
- Great customer service and communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENT:
- The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, bend, and reach with hands and arms; stoop, climb ladder, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
