About the roleThe Brand Manager focuses on creating strategies that increase household penetration and consumer pull, leading the category and product strategies (including lifecycle management and innovation), and maximizing brand financial health and fiscally sound brand growth. This role can be summarized into three primary categories: Innovation, Marketing and Communications, P&L/Portfolio Management.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Drive brand salience and a clear brand identity
- Leverage paid and earned media effectively
- Lead multi-year innovation pipeline from ideation through to concept creation & testing
- Develop overarching category growth strategies, portfolio segmentation, and identify priority growth SKU’s
- Drive category pricing strategy, providing insight and recommendation on mix, pricing & spend direction
- Conduct regular P&L reporting including monthly & annual business reviews, identifying opportunities for top & bottom-line growth
- Carry out qualitative and quantitative consumer research to maximize future product potential
About you
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to support business growth, we’re scrappy and need a teammate that can ride the waves with us
- 5+ years’ experience in brand management (a focus on consumer-packaged goods is preferred)
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage a variety of projects of varying complexities
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills for data & research interpretation
- Financial analysis abilities, plus a deep understanding of P&L
- Presentation skills, comfortable presenting to large groups and executive teams
- Strong in Microsoft Suite and Asana
Location: Oak Brook Chicago or surrounding area (Hybrid role)
