Ampco Distribution is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our facilities and equipment. This is a critical role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Pay: Based on experience
Responsibilities:
- - Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any maintenance needs
- - Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment
- - Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address any issues in a timely manner
- - Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems
- - Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, or welding equipment as needed
- - Fabricate or modify parts using blueprints, schematics, or other specifications
- - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- - Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations
- - Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Experience:
- - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
- - Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- - Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- - Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- - Experience with welding, fabrication, and use of hand and power tools
- - Knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, controls, and logic controllers
- - Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- - Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
