Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients while adhering to all healthcare regulations and protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine nursing tasks, including specimen collection processing, and wound care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the registered nurse or physician
- Assist with physical examinations and document patient information accurately
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assist with the coordination of patient care, including scheduling appointments and arranging for diagnostic tests
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
- Previous experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to lift and move patients when necessary
