Position Summary:
The Medical Assistant in the Clinical Navigation Team supports patients and healthcare providers by managing clinical operations, assisting with patient care, and ensuring effective communication across the team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of patient care and operational efficiency at Televero Health.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Patient Interaction and Support:
- Assist patients with appointment scheduling, telehealth setup, and follow-up care.
- Collect and document patient information accurately during virtual visits.
- Educate patients on their treatment plans and answer basic medical questions.
Clinical Support:
- Prepare and manage electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Assist healthcare providers during virtual consultations by preparing necessary documentation and supporting patient care processes.
- Handle patient inquiries and relay important information to the clinical team.
Administrative Duties:
- Coordinate with insurance companies to verify prior authorization of patient coverage.
- Manage patient and provider trackers to ensure timely delivery of care and services.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and Televero Health protocols.
Communication and Coordination:
- Facilitate effective communication between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff
- Collaborate with the Clinical Navigation Team to streamline patient care processes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care strategies
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a telehealth or mental health setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using EMR systems and telehealth technology. Ability to work effectively in a remote and team-oriented environment. Knowledge of mental health care practices and patient support.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
