Beyond is looking for a MPD Field Operator Trainee to join our US team.
In the role of MPD Field Operator, you will be responsible for supporting field service operations for Beyond's MPD equipment and providing technical support to our clients on field locations across the US.
Key Responsibilities
- Field installation, operation, and maintenance of Beyond’s MPD equipment on client field locations from pre-planning and logistics to post-well reporting.
- Monitoring the day-to-day well drilling operations.
- Rig-up and operation of all Beyond MPD equipment on site and at shop facilities when required.
- Liaise between the field crew, MPD Field Supervisor and MPD Lead Engineer to ensure efficient operation and operating procedures are properly conducted.
- Ensure the operation parameters of the MPD program are followed at all times.
- Completion of all site specific and safety related paperwork in accordance with company policy.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined.
- Previous experience working in a field based or shop-based position, with familiarity working away from home and in all weather conditions.
- Oilfield Experience (MPD or Drilling Experience) would be an asset.
- Petroleum Engineering Technologist, Technical Diploma, or related field would be an asset.
- Understanding of mechanics and hydraulics, and basic knowledge of electronics or proven aptitude to learn.
- Knowledge of slinging and lifting overhead loads.
- Understanding of process and information diagrams and flow systems.
- Self-directed and sound decision-making skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Products.
- Legally entitled to work in the US.
This position works on a rotational schedule with typical shift lengths of 12 hours and will require the incumbent to travel away from home staying in camp, hotel or offshore locations. This position will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
