Metropolitan Management in Seattle is looking for an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team as a Property Accountant. We specialize in multi-family real estate acquisition and management throughout the Puget Sound area.

Responsibilities:
The Property Accountant is responsible for performing accounting functions for Met Partnerships, and LLCs.
- General ledger accounts posting and reconciliation.
- Process journal entries for accrual and prepayment.
- Payroll processing and reporting.
- Payroll taxes (Federal & State)
- Monthly and quarterly excise tax reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Support in month-end and year-end closing.
- Assist with annual budgets.
- CAM reconciliations
- Financial statements preparation.
- Actively contribute information to streamline procedures.
- Update/write accounting desktop procedures and corporate manuals.
- Manage flow of paperwork in department
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience as a staff accountant with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other related fields. Experience may be substituted.
- The ideal candidate is one who has previous accounting experience in payroll, AP, AR, month end closing, financial analysis, reconciliation, variance analysis, budgets, forecasting, and quarterly reporting.
- Experience with accounting systems and property management systems preferred.
- Experience in real estate and property management.
- Excellent organizational skills. Ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to teach other staff members. Must be a motivated a team player.
- Self-starter with good problem solving skills and ability to interact and communicate positively and successfully with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word required.
- Ability to interact with senior management.
- Must pass criminal background check.

Compensation:
Annual salary 80K depends on experience (DOE)
