Your Responsibilities as an Event Support Specialist
The Event Support Specialist will be responsible for all activities related to our Safety Events Trailer and all its accessories and assisting our Safety team in ensuring efficient and effective use of this equipment and associated technology. This position will report directly to the Safety Manager.
- Safely drive and park the safety trailer at designated locations.
- Ensure the trailer is securely parked and positioned for optimal access and operational efficiency.
- Connect generator, or electrical utility connection as needed.
- Set up the safety/event trailer, including exterior tents, chairs tables, gas grills, electronics, and interior setup.
- Prepare the trailer for daily operations, following preparatory checklist to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
- Prepare, grill, and serve food for events.
- Maintain ambitious standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety always.
- Manage stock levels of food, condiments, and safety supplies.
- Place orders for necessary supplies to ensure continuous operation.
- Keep an accurate inventory of items and report any shortages or discrepancies.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on the trailer and cooking equipment!
- At the end of the day, clean and dismantle the setup, ensuring everything is stored properly.
- MUST be able to park/back a trailer safely!
- Report any incidents or accidents promptly and follow company protocols.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to driving and safety.
- Always seek to improve procedures that improve tracking, communication, and efficiency.
- Serve the goals and objectives of Petticoat-Schmitt Civil Contractors, Inc.
- Maintain the Petticoat-Schmitt Code of Conduct.
- Is an ambassador of the company and follows our company values (A.C.T.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required to Perform Essential Functions
Technical Knowledge:
Write and verbalize clearly, informatively, and effectively, able to read and interpret written information.
Knowledge of IT-related setup.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; handle and manipulate controls on a repetitive basis. Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites. Ability to climb in and out of equipment, ability to lift 50 lbs.
Environmental Adaptability:
Work outside in all weather conditions, and various locations and times of day. Hard hat, hearing and eye protection, Hi-visibility clothing required.
Training and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Hours Information:
- Normal hours are M-F, 7am – 3:30pm
- Hours can extend depending on production needs.
- Some Saturdays, as necessary. We are off on Sundays.
- We plan to work 40-45 hours per week. Overtime is not guaranteed.
