Who You Will Be Supporting

Responsibilities We’ll Help You Master
- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a “person-centered” focus.
- Teach independent living and daily skills to the persons-served by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines.
- Actively plans, coordinates, and participates with residents in social activities including frequent community outings.
- Instructs, supports and participates in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, food shopping, etc.
The Ideal Candidate
- Earned High School Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
- Able to communicate effectively with the individuals to whom services are provided
- Should have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities or with other types of special needs populations
- Have patience and positive coaching skills to assist ED with successfully reaching his goals.
- Enjoy being active and proactively partner with ED while engaging in activities, events and volunteer efforts of choice.
- Will be resourceful in researching community activities, volunteer efforts, and enjoy introducing new ideas.
