Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist III for the Rutgers Institute for Nicotine & Tobacco Studies at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), located in New Brunswick, NJ. The Research Teaching Specialist III will conduct specialized tobacco research, using judgment to adapt methods and techniques; and assist with budgetary, training and administrative responsibilities
Duties include:
- Assist in the establishment of performance standards, as well as in the selection of methodology and instrumentation.
- As assigned, carry out various technical and research operations relating to investigatory activities of the research project. May assist in organizing and conducting specialized research activities for a particular research project.
- Assist with the instructing and training of students, fellows and technicians in various techniques and procedures to develop the skills necessary to carry out assignments in research assistants.
- May coordinate, supervise and evaluate the work of support staff.
- Compile and presents statistical data with appropriate conclusions and recommendations. Assist in the preparation of grant applications for the funding of research activities.
