We provide a full range of planning, traffic engineering and design services in roads and highways, bridges and structural engineering, high speed rail systems, pumping and drainage networks, airports, municipal infrastructure, intelligent transportation systems, construction management services for all levels of government agencies as well as private developers.
Job Description
We are looking for a full-time (on-site) Information Technology (IT) Manager, based out of our Houston, TX office. The IT Manager will manage the company’s IT operations, ensuring efficient and effective technical support to our offices in the US including Austin, Houston, Richardson, as well as our remote offices in Spain and India.
Responsibilities
- Set long-term direction for the company’s IT / System Requirements in alignment with the Company’s strategic plan for growth.
- Identify and implement best practice technologies that enhance design processes and network security / reliability while minimizing disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including hardware, software, networks, and systems administration.
- Understand technical issues and the implications to the business and collaborates with internal and external business partners to properly address multisite IT issues.
- Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs
- Identify opportunities for technology improvements and cost savings.
- Identify individual staff equipment requirements as well as systems infrastructure needs and technology stack of physical offices, including computer equipment, conference room setup, collaboration tools, phone systems, etc.
- Plan and coordinate activities such as the installation and upgrading of hardware and software, ProjectWise programming and systems design, the development of computer networks, and the implementation of Internet and intranet sites.
- Provide guidelines in the implementation, installation, configuration, and technical support of new network infrastructures.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information with a focus on cybersecurity.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Lead compliance with governmental IT Security requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant degree required.
- 3-5 years of progressive IT Management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer network system technologies, architectures, and products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office collaboration tools including but not limited to: Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Bi, etc.
- Strong experience in Networking including set up and configuration of various network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- This position will require in-state travel from time to time to all branch locations (Dallas, Austin, and possible other new offices).
- On-call assignments on different time-zones will be required.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience with network systems, project management systems, and software requirements for Civil Engineering firms (Familiarity with software such as MicroStation, ORD, ProjectWise, Vissim, TransCAD, etc).
- Experience with companies with 100+ employees.
- Inventory Management; Software Purchasing / tracking systems.
- Experience with ERP migrations is desired.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
