Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation and patient records
Skills:
- Strong patient care skills, including the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to accurately interpret medical orders and documentation
- Experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility is preferred
- Knowledge of acute care practices and procedures
- Familiarity with medical records management systems
- Solid understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Ability to work in an intensive care unit (ICU) setting is a plus
- Experience in training development for nursing staff is highly desirable
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
