Position: Training Manager
Program: The Institute
Location: Roscommon Office in Middletown
Salary: $75,000-80,000/year
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 1st shift, Monday-Friday
Position Summary:
The Training Manager delivers high-quality training programs and grant support to the Business Development Team. Under the leadership of the Assistant Vice President of Training and Grant Management, the Training Manager will design, develop, and facilitate training sessions and assist in grant proposals.
Requirements:

Master’s Degree or equivalent

2 years related experience in the grant process, training ( human services/public health/leadership or similar)

Valid Connecticut Driver’s License

In support of the agency mission and under the general direction of the Assistant VP of Training & Grant Management, assists in the development of agency training to promote organizational excellence through creating a culture of ongoing learning and skill building.
- Creates and delivers a variety of training curricula for internal and external audiences that support the strategic goals of the organization.
- Designs and develops training materials and curriculum that align with the learning objectives and the needs as outlined by the AVP of Training. This includes creating engaging content, selecting appropriate training methods, and incorporating relevant resources.

Assists with research for grant submissions as directed by the AVP of Training and Grant Management.

Supports team in the preparation of grant submissions

Delivers training sessions in a clear, engaging, and effective manner, using a variety of instructional techniques to ensure that participants understand and retain the information presented.
- Creates a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Assists in the design of new training products internally and externally with a focus on best practices, trends, and market needs.

Researches and identifies grant opportunities based on funding amount needed, location, and project at the direction of the AVP of Training and Grant Management.

Understands the needs of both our agency and the organization that is offering the grant money.

Successfully understands and communicates mission and vision of agency.
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
