Job Responsibilities
Support the plant Instrumentation & Electrical system preventative maintenance programs for all production equipment including equipment calibration. Assist plant operations, engineers and maintenance team members in tasks or troubleshooting involving equipment reliability and performance improvements.
- Work with Production Engineering, Quality, and other related departments to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical and instrumentation equipment
- Calibrate, test, inspect, operate, troubleshoot and maintain electronic devices (PLCs, transmitters, controllers etc.)
- Diagnose and repair electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls
- Responsible for computer driven control system and related devices
- Install, configure, and maintain variable frequency drives
- Evaluate performance and reliability of prototype and actual equipment during operation production models
- Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and major equipment repairs (e.g., electrical and mechanical)
- Assist in the design, engineering and procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation systems
- Assist in writing JSA’s
- Follow safety procedures, rules and work in a safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Candidate Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical School training or certificate preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ instrumentation and electrical experience required
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70e
- Ability to use calibration, electrical, infrared, and ultrasonic testing equipment
- Strong equipment / process technical knowledge
- Knowledge of DeltaV DCS
- Knowledge of Factory Talk software including minor programing changes and RSLogix 5000
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Able to attend training classes to keep current and new technologies
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Able to perform mathematical equations necessary for position's essential duties
- Must be able to work within a team group environment to perform maintenance task
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics and ladder logic
- Good communication skills
- Chemical manufacturing industry experience
