Position Summary: The 10-month Educational Support Personnel supports the overall functioning of Phoenix Academy through positive customer service, communication, collaboration, data management and accuracy in completion of reports. Key to the position is communicating with families, students and staff on a daily basis and accuracy in utilizing LASEC databases to keep track of student information. The position is located at Phoenix Academy which is a small school for students with special needs and part of the Leyden Area Special Education Cooperative.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain an efficient and effective office that handles a variety of tasks for the Director.
- Utilize electronic equipment for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual presentations and telecommunications.
- Communicate in English and Spanish both orally and in writing.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.
- Maintain efficient and well organized electronic and paper data collection and filing systems, including confidential student and personal files, attendance data and other mandated reports.
- Assist the Director in the preparation of reports and documents by creating graphics and displays, using word processing and data management, creating an attractive presentation, copying, collating and distribution of the final product.
- Create forms and compile data and organize data and information necessary for the efficient operation of the office and completion of required paperwork. Qualification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bilingual skills -- Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Google office
- Ability to operate office equipment (fax, copier, laminating, computers)
