Compensation: $40,000. - $46,000.00 (based on experience and education)
Job Summary: An elementary school teacher is responsible for creating a welcoming classroom environment. They are responsible for creating and executing lesson plans in the classroom. A few of the main duties of a teacher is creating and editing lesson plans, enforcing classroom and school rules, observing and evaluating student performance, and grading homework and tests. They also have to keep parents and directors informed of students' emotional and intellectual progress.

Essential Job Functions:
● Creates an environment that is conducive to learning, while upholding the core LMCA values of Love, Security, Quality, Accessibility, and Stewardship.
- Executes strong classroom management and uphold standards of classroom behavior according to LMCA policy, using the clip chart and Class Dojo as discipline tools.
- Able to control a classroom.
- Follows and enforces school rules for the classroom.
- Implements Social Emotional Learning methodology (SEL).
- Empathy to care and encourage students.
- Encourages students to learn as much as they can.
- Recognizes problematic behavior in students.
- Monitors students who are struggling with spiritual, emotional, or learning situations at home and in school.
- Able to provide differentiated instruction.
- Able to take the Whole-Child approach to education.
● Adheres to school policies for lesson plans, grading, communication, etc.
- Administers tests, following LMCA testing protocol.
- Grades papers and homework regularly, posting grades online within a timely manner.
- Keeps parents updated on their child's progress.
- Meets with students, parents, and directors to discuss education-related issues.
● Holds great scheduling ability, organizational, communication and listening skills.
● Able to communicate issues to parents.
● Attends weekly staff meetings and professional development/corporate gatherings.
● Continues educational knowledge and stays up to date on new material by participating in education courses and occasionally attending offsite training sessions.
● Other duties as supervisor deems necessary.
Qualifications:
● Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Bachelor’s degree in elementary education preferred)
● Classroom experience preferred
● Computer Skills (word processing skills, Google suite, electronic presentation skills, internet navigation skills, email management, etc.)
