Job Title
Kids at Work, an infant center and preschool providing a safe, clean, and nurturing educational environment, is looking for an energetic person to fill our Assistant Director position. The successful candidate for this position will help maintain and lead a fun filled, family-oriented environment with an amazing team of teachers and students. Job Responsibilities
The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the school director, teachers, students, and classrooms.
Environment Duties
- Support the Director in supervision and management responsibilities
- Mentor and promote the professional growth of teachers, staff, and aides
- Effective communication with staff, students, and their families
- Develop, maintain, and supervise developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Planning, supervision, and execution of day-to-day activities
- Teaching in each of our aged-based classrooms
- Compliance with all state, federal, and local rules, regulations, and requirements
Office Duties
- Daily and monthly reporting and documentation
- Ordering of material, food, supplies, etc.
- Respond to inquires received via phone, email, or in person
- Invoice and tuition processing
- Organize parent conferences, fundraisers, and other special events
- Receive, process, and track registration paperwork and student files
Required Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education, Management Experiences and Computer Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Development Units and 6 Units in Administration
- 1-3 years of management experience in the early childhood development field
- CPR/First Aid certificate or ability to acquire within 30 days of hire
Soft Skills Desired
- Flexible - ability to perform in fast paced environment with varying roles throughout the day, while remaining calm
- Ability to manage your time and adjust quickly to a fluid environment
- Creative problem solving and conflict resolution
- Independent initiative-taker
- Capable of establishing strong, positive relationships within all levels of school
- Computer experience in Microsoft (Word, Excel, outlook) and Bright Wheel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
